1270 applications from the Chartered Accountants (CA) and Company Secretary (CS) professional institutions to merge the multiple IDs in the V2 portal with a new user ID in V3, is permitted by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
The government has granted permission for professional institutions to request that duplicate user IDs be disabled or merged. This was done to allow these professionals to use the revised MCA 21 portal, which now only allows individual IDs for each user, to enter their company information. Multiple IDs might have been used with earlier software versions, but this presented a number of problems.
MCA would have released a circular on 12th July 2023 that addresses before the presidents of the Institute of chartered accountants of India (ICAI), Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI), and Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) rendering the members of such institutes to integrate their multiple IDs in the V-2 Portal with their new user ID in the V-3 Portal and deactivate their old user IDs in the V-2 Portal.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India have many members who have created multiple user IDs when transacting on the current MCA21-V2 portal, it has come to the attention of this Ministry.
According to the circular, the CA and CS institutes submitted the applications that were previously indicated to the MCA. The ministry has approved a total of 1,270 applications so far within a month of releasing the circular.
The President or Vice-President of the Institute provides the recommendations to ddeqov@mca.gov.in for consideration in order to make the appropriate changes to the user ID in the new MCA V3 portal in such cases.
