According to provisional data released by the Finance Ministry, India’s gross GST collections reached ₹1,94,812 crore in June 2026, registering a 13.9% year-on-year growth over ₹1,71,105 crore collected in June 2025.
The strong increase in GST revenue reflects continued economic activity, improved tax compliance, and higher collections across key sectors.
This rise was driven by higher domestic and import revenues.
On a cumulative basis, in the April-June period of FY27, gross GST collections have attained Rs 6,31,699 crore, a rise of 8.4% over Rs 5,82,542 crore collected in the corresponding period last year.
In June, the gross GST revenue reached ₹1,34,774 crore, reflecting a 6.5% increase from ₹1,26,506 crore in the same month last year. Additionally, gross revenue from imports rose significantly by 34.6%, reaching ₹60,038 crore compared to ₹44,600 crore in June 2022.

After accounting for refunds, the net GST revenue saw an 11.2% year-on-year increase, totalling ₹1,62,377 crore, up from ₹1,45,984 crore in June of the previous year.
The government, during the month, has issued total refunds of Rs 32,436 crore, which is an increase of 29% from Rs 25,121 crore in June 2025.
The domestic refunds have surged 42.9% to Rs 17,767 crore, and the refunds on imports via ICEGATE have risen 15.6% to Rs 14,669 crore.
On tax elements, the collections of Central GST (CGST) have arrived at Rs 37,376 crore, State GST (SGST) at Rs 45,116 crore, and Integrated GST (IGST) at Rs 1,12,320 crore, along with Rs 60,038 crore collected on imports.
For the first quarter, the net GST revenue has attained Rs 5,40,218 crore, a surge of 7.1% from Rs 5,04,187 crore in the year-ago period.
According to the provisional data, cumulative gross domestic revenue in the quarter has surged 2.8% to Rs 4,54,427 crore, and the gross import revenue has risen 26.2% to Rs 1,77,273 crore. In the mentioned period, the total refunds have surged 16.8% to Rs 91,482 crore.
