The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has officially announced the Companies (Incorporation) Amendment Rules, 2025.
From July 14, 2025, the amended rules will be effective under the Gazette notification dated June 27, 2025. The replacement of the current Form INC-22A with a revised e-form titled ACTIVE (Active Company Tagging Identities and Verification) is one of its major parts.
Disclosures, including detailed information on directors, statutory and cost auditors, KMPs, registered office verification, and compliance status with previous filings such as Forms AOC-4 and MGT-7, are mandated in the form.
Photographic proof of the registered office, along with geolocation coordinates and digital signatures from directors and practising professionals, is needed in this format.

What is Form INC-22A?
Form INC-22A is generally referred to as ACTIVE (Active Company Tagging Identities and Verification), which is presented by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) India. This provision applies to all businesses that were set up on or before 31st December, 2017, with the exception exist, like corporations that are shut down or removed from the authorised record. The goal of this form is to make sure that enterprises are obeying the rules, have a proper address, and maintain their data up to date with the portal.
