Jammu and Kashmir Discusses GST in Assembly Chaired by Finance Minister

The Jammu and Kashmir legislative assembly finally passed the resolution in order to adopt the newly incorporated goods and services tax into their constitution. As speculated the assembly started with a lot of arguments and debates against the GST regime. But the leaders took the matter into their hands and wants the house to be majorly focused upon the topic of resolution.

BJP legislator R S Pathania mentioned in the statement that, “”There will not be any effect on Article 370, which is sacrosanct.” The opposition also wanted to modify the GST scheme according to their preference just like the VAT”.

And in meantime the special session started with senior National Conference leader Devendra Rana starting the speech, ““There is an attempt to attack the idea of Jammu and Kashmir as also the idea of India.”” Overall the Jammu Kashmir was in a pending list of states to be accepting the new GST scheme wholeheartedly, but it seems the scheme will get a pass with some bone of contention.
