In context to the bogus ITC claiming the logistic manager company of Flipkart and online food delivery platform Swiggy Instakart were investigated by Tax council. two of these companies have accepted their guilt.
“As a law-abiding company, we are in full compliance with the tax and legal mandates. The survey by the IT officials is currently underway and our team is extending full cooperation in the matter.” as Swiggy has said.
As per the sources, the income tax department has been keeping eyes on the third-party suppliers who were earlier in the tracker of IT dept and they have defaulted on payment too.
“The officials from the income tax department have contacted us. We are providing them all the required information and are extending our full cooperation. We believe we are in full compliance with all applicable tax and legal requirements.” comment Flipkart.
