The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) had conducted a two-day training program on GST, for the capacity building of the officials of the Commissionerate of CT and GST, Odisha at Bhubaneswar on 23rd and 24th May 2022.
Sushil Kumar Lohani, IAS, Commissioner, CT & GST, Odisha has inaugurated the training program. Sushil Kumar Lohani has appreciated the measures of ICAI in the GST knowledge dissemination and encouraged the council of his department to attend the training towards deriving the maximum advantage from the discussion. 220 officials of the Commissionerate of CT and GST, Odisha have attended the training program.
The senior and academic ICAI faculty discusses several topics along with training programs like GST in real estate and work contracts along with financial statements analysis of real estate companies with the GST perspective, consumption of the taxes- India’s international engagement, investigation and return analysis, audit, and analysis of financial statements with GST viewpoint.
This training program will boost the skills of the officials of the Commissionerate of CT & GST, Odisha, and shall improve the efficiency of the tax administration, which results in providing an advantage to the taxpayers, CA. Rajendra Kumar P, Chairman of GST & Indirect Taxes Committee of ICAI said. CA. Umesh Ramnarayan Sharma, Vice-Chairman GST & Indirect Taxes Committee of ICAI specified that ICAI via its GST and indirect taxes committee assists the Government and public sector units in capacity building of their council inside GST.
“Shri Saurya Ranjan Mishra, Special Commissioner, Commercial Tax and GST, Shri Nihar Ranjan Nayak, Additional Commissioner, Commercial Tax and GST, CA. Ranjan Kumar Prusty, Chairman, Bhubaneswar Branch of ICAI, CA.” Gagan Bihari Das, Secretary, Bhubaneswar Branch of ICAI was also present at the inauguration.
The CA. Pradip Kumar Sahoo, Vice Chairman, and CA. Mahendra Kumar Sahoo, Chairman, EICASA was indeed given their presence.
