To prevent fraudsters from entering the system, the State Taxes & Excise Department has set a goal of achieving 100% approval of GST registrations through manual processes, following thorough verification of the documents submitted with the registration application. Additionally, the department is implementing appropriate measures to physically verify suspicious or dicey registrants.
According to a statement released by a department spokesperson on Sunday, the state government has undertaken numerous effective measures to promote financial discipline and improve the state’s economic well-being. Various initiatives have been introduced in every sector to reduce unnecessary expenses.

The spokesperson stated that the state government is tirelessly putting efforts towards comprehensive development by implementing new initiatives to improve the department’s efficiency. One of the primary challenges faced by Goods and Services Tax (GST) administrations nationwide is fraudulent registrations by fraudulent individuals to carry out fraudulent activities.
The infiltration of these fraudsters into the GST system leads to significant losses for the state’s revenue. The department has been actively involved in identifying tax evaders involved in fraudulent activities and taking prompt action. It has also maintained coordination with central tax authorities.
