9:55 PM – Venkaiah Naidu mentioned that transition to GST may create issue but it can be resolved

9:40 PM : GST Council sets meeting schedule, 3 meeting consecutively on first Saturday from August

9:32 PM : Dabur stated, GST will be hard on sales but short term profits assured

9:12 PM : Prime Minister Narendra Modi Reaches Vigyan Bhawan, Meets GST Council Members

9:02 PM : SpiceJet CMD speculates for issues in Aviation industry.

8:46 PM : Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis stated that ‘India will grow faster, better’

8:22 PM – Anand Mahindra applauds GST launch, ‘At midnight, India will awake as a common market’

7:54 PM – Arun Jaitley Replies Rahul Gandhi over its remark of self promotion and said that the “Karvan toh chalta rahega (Caravan will keep moving).

7:46 PM – GST Council Sat for 18th council meeting ahead of the launch of GST across nation.

6:10 PM – Mamta Banerjee strongly opposed the GST and mentioned that the Inspector Raj will be back.

5:39 PM– The Nationalist Congress Party a congress ally has decided to attend the launch event of GST.

5:10 PM – Over 80 percent of traders have migrated towards the GST regime, and the country is ready for it as stated by Rajeev Dimri, Leader, Indirect Tax, BMR & Associates LLP.

4:40 PM – Dealers and traders unions from Jaipur, Udaipur, Alwar, Sikar, Jodhpur and Kota have protested against GST.

1:45 PM – Arun Jaitley calls opposition parties to be present at the event and also reminded them as an important part of the discussion. They must attend the event as demanded by the union finance minister.

GST is about to launch in few hours and the nation is just waiting for this biggest transition wholeheartedly. The GST grand event is scheduled to be in the central hall of parliament where the imminent personalities of politics, as well as Bollywood, will get together to see the transition in personnel.

However, the opposition party Congress has decided to boycott the event as of now due to some clashes in implementation but anyways the scheme will be offered anyhow. Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan who is also the brand ambassador of GST along with Lata Mangeshkar is among the Bollywood oriented invitees.

While on the political front, RBI Governer Urjit Patel will also be there at the event. GST is watching a grand celebration from the ruling party as it comes into actualisation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the honourable President of India Pranab Mukherjee will be hosting the event with their supreme powers to navigate and reign the GST.
