Economic Affairs Officials Assured of GST Timely Implementation

Confirmations have started coming out of the box for the newly incorporated taxation regime i.e. GST as the top financial ministry officials are talking with confident tones about the implementation of Goods and Services Tax.

Shaktikanta Das, Economic Affairs Secretary stated a firm statement at Assocham organized national conference on Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 2016 that, “GST will happen. Insolvency has happened. Both together will bring dynamism and has the potential to transform the way Indian economy functions.”

He was seen very positive about the new taxation regime and added some words for the same like, “State Governments are equally committed to introducing GST from April 1 next year.” He also affirmed that the tax rate issue will be soon resolved most probably in the month of November.
