Automobile Sales Went Up Side After GST: Detailed Figures Inside

The month of July has been a car deal across the nation with a great hype made by GST. The biggest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has seen an increased 22.4% car sales when compared to the figures of the previous year. It’s popular cars namely, Alto and Wagon R along with other small cars has been increased by a percentage of 20.7 recently while its other compact car models like Swift, Estilo, Dzire, Baleno and Ignis increased by 25.3 percent in overall sales compared to the previous year.

It has been speculated that the car company has given a decent amount of discount on the old stock and sold them as soon as possible and from the 1st July there were new models in the market. While the second most preferred car manufacturer Hyundai Motor India Limited has witnessed increased car sales of 4.38 % in the month of July which is slightly higher than the previous year.

While coming to the Tata Motors, it has also seen an increased sales of 10.23% compared to the previous year. Ford India which is also an imminent car manufacturer saw an increased 18.96 percent of car sales when compared to the previous year. While talking about Mahindra, it also saw 13% increased sales from the previous year. The sales figure of Honda cars came at 17085 cars while comparing to the previous year same month states, it was around 14033 cars.

Along with the domestic car sales, there was also an increased commercial vehicle sale across the Nation in which Tata Motors was successful to tap 15% increase in overall sales. Another company, Ashok Leyland which made 14.19% increased sales compared to the previous year. While talking about the two wheeler category, the Hero MotoCorp brought forward increased sales of 17.13% while compared to the previous year.

The tractor manufacturing company, Escorts Limited and Mahindra made an increased 33.4 percent and 7.48 percent increase in sales.
