Upcoming Goods and Service Tax has already demanded various prerequisites for registration of old and new dealers as the mandatory guidelines are for their own benefits. The knowledge and details of all the registration process have been shared via all the means of communication to the general public and the dealers.
This league has now asked for mobile numbers and email Ids again for the process to accomplish on time. The council has mandated this for the registration to be easier and up to date on both the sides. The Commissioner of Central Excise and Service Tax, Sk. Rahaman has asked the duty payers that, whoever is registered under the Central Excise and Sales Tax must properly fill the information regarding the mobile number and email ID in their registration forms and process of migration for the ultimate transfer to GST portal.

Mr. Rahaman told that “Presently, there are some temporary and non-PAN based registrants who have not provided their phone numbers and email IDs. Now they can’t migrate to the new portal if they don’t give these details. Failure to give these details may result in the cancellation of their registration.”
At the time of his visit to Nellore, the commissioner said that “Central Excise registrants need to migrate to the GST portal from January 1 to 15, 2017 while those of Sales Tax are required to follow it through from January 1 to January 31.”
In between of his knowledge sharing, he also intimated that all the VAT registered dealers are needed to approach towards the officers of commercial tax in between the migration process as to obtain their provisional Ids and passwords as it will be source key for the dealers to log in themselves into the GST portal.
