The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) on October 30, 2024, declared an extension period for the filing of financial statements by Producer companies.
As per the amended norms, the producer companies are mandated to provide their financial statements within 60 days of their annual general meeting (AGM) date. The same revision has extended the previous 30-day filing deadline to 60 days, following section 378ZA(10) of the Companies Act, 2013.
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) validated that adjustments to the AOC-4 filing forms incorporating the updated fee logic are anticipated to go live in the following week. The same amendment will permit the producer companies to file their documents in a 60-day window at the nominal fee rate compared to the incurring late fees.
