It is an important news for all the taxpayers who have to file GSTR 1 as today i.e. 31st May 2018 is the last date to file GSTR 1 return for the month of April month.
The government had previously given enough time to the taxpayers to go through the return filing procedure and submit their return on time. Now the last date has been arriving so it is important to file the GSTR 1 return.
Also nearly 10 days after the last date to file GSTR 1 return for the month of May will arrive on 10th June 2018. So basically it is a tough time for all the taxpayers who are away from the filings as the tax return are a cumbersome process and very less time is left.

It is suggested to the taxpayers that they must file GST returns as soon as possible for these 2 months i.e. April months return’s last date is 31st May while for the May month return the last date is 10th June 2018.
