N K Singh, Chairman, of Fifteen Finance Commission, mentioned that the concern about the effective operation of the GST council could be repeated in the other sectors of the Indian economy, such as agriculture, the social sector, and the economy with digital links.

“The orderly movement from the era of fossil fuels to renewable energy is a daunting challenge,” he expresses. For decarbonization, the vital decision to avail is the sort of taxes that could be charged and the advantages that these taxes draw in easing the decarbonization.

Upon fossil fuels, all the taxes should be made to ease India’s transition to a green economy. The “changing patterns of agriculture will be central to reducing fossil fuels and helping in the green transition”.

Singh said about the government’s step in addressing the current issues in India’s power sector. He said about the legislative amendments which would be made to address the issues in the power sector like the unpaid dues would seem to produce favorable outcomes.
