Awesome news for the GST Taxpayers. Government has, for the last time, extended the last date of filing a GST return. So, grab this opportunity. Otherwise, there shall be burdensome repercussions. An GST Amnesty schemeThe Indian government is planning to launch a new scheme for GST returns non-filers and nil filers, called Amnesty Scheme. Get more details via this article has been declared by the Government of India in this regard. As per this scheme, the businessmen could file their taxes before August 1. Otherwise, Failure to do so shall attract a penalty of Rs 10,000 every month.

To date, lakhs of businessmen across the length and breadth of the country have

  • Either not filed GST Returns or
  • Have left filing the GST return after doing it once or twice.

Considering the above facts and circumstances, the centre has, for the last time, announced a scheme for the aforesaid businessmen.

“As per the GST official, Businessmen who have registered themselves after the implementation of GST but have not filed returns and their business has been closed or their registration has been canceled will also have to file returns under any circumstances. Such businessmen can avoid the said fines by availing the amnesty scheme.”
