Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) mentioned on central tax notification that Form GSTR-3B’s due date is extended to May 2023 on or before the 30th day of June month for many Gujarat districts such as Kutch, Jamnagar, Morbi, Patan and Banaskantha.
The taxpayers whose average turnover is up to and more than INR 5 crore in the preceding fiscal year must file in Form GSTR-3B. It is for the 20th day of the succeeding month stated the CBIC. Also, it said that the principal business is in following Gujarat’s districts such as Kutch, Jamnagar, Morbi, Patan and Banaskantha.
The CBIC has extended the due date due to Cyclone Biparjoy. The cyclone has flooded several districts of Gujarat and Rajasthan. It is a helpful decision from the business perspective. The businesses can collect the required documents as the time limit is extended to 10 more days by the Indian government.
