In 12th December 2019, there will be an online exam for confirming the enrollment of GSTPs or GST Practitioners or Goods and Services Tax Practitioners. The exam will be conducted by NACIN (National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics) on December 12, 2019, at the appointed exam centers all over India. From November 22nd to 5th December 2019, online Registration can be done on NACIN website. Qualified GST Practitioners can also register at the official site of CBIC (Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs).
Till 5th December 2019, GST Practitioners who are registered under the GST network can apply. The enrollment fee INR 500 must be deposited online at the time of exam registration.
For the help of candidates, there will also be a help desk.
The examination will consist of 100 questions in Hindi and English and the total marks will be 200 from which candidates have to score at least 50% to qualify the exam. There will be no negative marking and the exam will be of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Regarding the exam, NACIN notice reads ‘as GST Law and Procedures are still evolving, the various items of the above syllabus will be considered as on 30-09-2019 for the purpose of this examination.’ the syllabus contains:
- Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017
- Integrated Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017
- State Goods and Services Tax Acts, 2017
- Union Territory Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017
- Goods and Services Tax (Compensation to States) Act, 2017
- Central Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017
- Integrated Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017
- All State Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017
- Notifications, Circulars and orders issued from time to time
The Candidates must prepare from the all GST circulars, all GST latest notifications, and orders issued from time to time. For GST Practitioners enrollment, the previous exam was held in June 2019.
