The biggest tax reform of our nation, Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill has got the support of chairperson of Mahindra Group, Mr. Anand Mahindra. Backing the bill, Mr. Mahindra said today that if the GST will not be implemented in the Parliament then it will badly affect the country and also prevent to become a common market. He also told that the GST is a Brahmastra of India. GST will have good impact on Indian Economy and it will help in the growth of various industries on a big scale.
Mahindra group Chairman, Anand Mahindra said, “Without GST we effectively divide our own country and prevent it being a common market. We render ineffective our own secret weapon.”
Mr. Mahindra further added, “(The) simplest way I know of understanding the significance of the GS Tax: In a fragile world, India’s Brahmastra is its huge domestic market.”
The Indian GST Bill is stuck yet in the Upper House due to objection of opposition parties and the main opposition party is Congress. The ruling BJP has fixed deadline of GST on April 1, 2016. If the government will be not able to solve out the issues of opposition parties then the Constitution Amendment Bill might be missed out its deadline. Therefore, earlier PM Modi had invited Chief leader of Congress, Sonia Gandhi and Ex- PM Manmohan Singh in the Tea meeting to discuss on the GST and other issues.
