On April 01, 2026, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) UDIN Directorate has made an announcement, notifying the One-Time Relaxation window opened for generating the skipped Unique Document Identification Numbers (UDINs) for documents/reports signed in the period between October 22, 2025, and November 22, 2025.
This relaxation has been granted to members who were unable to generate their UDIN during the transition to the new UDIN portal. As per the announcement, members are now permitted to generate their UDIN starting April 1, 2026.
Please note that the One-Time Relaxation window will close on April 30, 2026, at 12 AM. After this date, any documents or reports not covered by the relaxation will still be subject to the existing regulations.
Specifically, a UDIN (Unique Document Identification Number) must be generated within 60 days from the date the document is signed.
