There is a bad news for the 655 traders of Raigarh district as their GST (Goods and Services Tax) registration has been canceled as they have not submitted their details in GSTR 3B form for the last six months.
Under State Tax, Raigarh Circle-I, the registration of 342 traders who have less than Rs 1.5 crore annual gross sales and 10 traders who have more than Rs 1.5 crore annual gross sales has been deleted, informed Assistant Commissioner, State Tax, Raigarh Circle-I in a statement.
Similarly, 301 traders having gross sales of less than Rs 1.5 crore and 2 traders having more than Rs 1.5 crores has been deleted by Assistant Commissioner State Tax Raigarh Circle-II.
All the traders/businesses have to submit the GSTR 3B details on 20th of every month under the GST Act but many traders failed to do so.
As GST details can be registered online so this is the reason why the Assistant Commissioner, State Tax, Raigarh Circle-I, and Circle II took strict action against them. Along with late fees, 18 percent interest of the total amount must be paid as GST is levied with submission if Goods and Services Tax (GST) details are not submitted on time.
After submitting all the details related to Goods and Services Tax (GST) with tax, the businesses/traders whose Goods and Services Tax (GST) has been deleted can revive it said an official. Benefits of GST based on taxation will not be given to the traders whose GST has been deleted. So to avoid any inconvenience, all the registered traders have to submit the details of 3B online on or before time appealed the Assistant Commissioner, State Tax.
