The e-filing portal of the income tax department reveals that there is a rise in the ITR filing to 3.2 lakh daily during September 2021 and 1.19 crore ITRs for AY 2021-22 even when there are issues inside the portal and has been furnished as per the statement provided through the Finance ministry.
“The Income Tax Return (ITR) filing has increased to 3.2 lakh daily in September 2021 and 1.19 crore ITRs for AY 2021-22 have been filed. Of these, over 76.2 lakh taxpayers have used the online utility of the portal to file returns, the statement affirmed.”
As per the statement provided through the ministry, exceeds 8.83 cr unique assessee have logged in till Tuesday with an everyday average of 15.55 lakh during the September month.
What is the Latest Income Tax Portal?
The income tax department has been stated that the start of the latest e-filing portal is on the date of 7th June at https://www.incometax.gov.in. It urges that the new taxpayer-friendly portal will be fused within the quick process of the ITR to provide immediate refunds to the assessee, through all the interactions and uploads or due actions to be mentioned on the single dashboard. In 2019 Infosys has been given the contract to build the latest system.
What Type of Technical Issues Arrived?
On June 7 the latest income tax portal was initiated but it just faces issues continuously like the inability to generate an OTP for Aadhaar validation. In various cases, the OTP has been unable to reach the assessee towards the e-verification of the income tax return. The answer is not furnishing as the OTP is not pinged to the authorized appellant inside the e-proceeding tab. The assessee shall not be able to download the documents from the portal such as the forms furnished in the previous years.
Final Deadline for Infosys to Resolve Technical Errors on ITR Portal
The FM Nirmala Sitharaman Ji has set the final deadline of 15th September 2021 for Infosys Ltd to resolve technical errors on the new return e-filing portal.
