In September, the collection of Goods and Services Tax (GST) came up to INR 94,442 crore, when compared to INR 93,690 crore from the previous month. The data of GST collection was released by the Ministry of Finance on Monday.
The collection reached to this height as there were around 67 million GST returns filed in September. The finance ministry also mentioned the source and categorized the collections as per the GST.
In the details, the Ministry said that in the GST collection of INR 94,442 crore last month, the contribution of INR 15,318 crore was from Central GST (CGST).
While the contribution of INR 21,061 crore was from the State GST (SGST) and the remaining collections were of INR 50,070 crore was from the Integrated GST (INR 25,308 crore collected on imports) and applicable cess.

Also, the ministry quoted that, after the settlement between the Central Government and the State Governments, INR 30,574 crores from CGST and INR 35,015 crores have been collected from SGST in September 2018.
