Rajasthan Govt: AI-based e-Tax Software & 2K Tax Mitras for GST Collection

AI-based e-Tax Officer Platform & 2K Tax Mitras

The Rajasthan government will hire 2,000 ‘Tax Mitra’ to ease the collection of Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Value Added Tax (VAT).

2,000 ‘Tax Mitra’ shall get hired by the government in order to ease the petitioner in the procedure of application of GST and VAT. The same shall build it simpler to deposit the tax. The proposal has been approved by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

To create an ‘Artificial Intelligence’ based e-tax officer software platform Gehlot has also given the approval for furnishing the facility of ‘self tax check’ to the dealers.

As per the same the min education qualification for Tax Mitra is graduation in commerce. The preference shall be allotted to experienced applicants along with Chartered Accountants (CA) and Company Secretaries (CS). From 21 to 40 years the age limit has been fixed.

For distinct tax-pertinent application procedures, tax Mitra shall impose a fee for which the fee would have been fixed. For the same case, a fee of Rs 50 to Rs 400 would maintain for the additional operations along with GST, VAT application, amendment, ITC, GST e-way bill, subsidy application, and MSME application.

For the same subject, the Chief Minister made an announcement in the budget for the FY 2023-24 in order to facilitate the GST and VAT application process.
