The Goods and Services Tax Network announced that it has successfully released a new help and customer care desk to solve and listen to the grievances of the general public related to the latest indirect tax GST.
The line will be open for all days despite any holidays for both the taxpayers and the general public. The line will be working from 9 AM to 9 PM.
The GSTN also stated that it has re-launched a new helpdesk to make the problem-solving procedure better, transparent and quick for the betterment of the experience of the taxpayers and the public both.

The department has released a new toll-free number ‘1800 103 4786’ replacing the old ‘0120-24888999’ which is no longer in use.
Additionally, for the ease of taxpayers, 10 more languages are added to the tollfree number the total languages being 12, namely, Hindi, English, Kannada, Odia, Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, Punjabi and Assamese.
The help desk has estimated to receive a total of 8,000 to 10,000 calls per day.
