Even though the due date of April 30 for filing the GSTR-4 return gets expired, there are a number of traders who do not furnish their returns within time. The tax consultants asked for an extension of the due date to September 30.
The demand was asked from the state GST commissioner Lokesh Jatav by the tax consultants of the city. Ashwin Lakhotia, president of MP Tax Law Bar Association notify that Composition Dealers are required to furnish their annual return GSTR-4 of the financial year 2021-22 by April 30, 2022.
However, there are various traders in the state who were not able to furnish the return by the due date. Lakhotia mentioned that we have asked state GST commissioner Jatav to show a proposal to the central and state governments and the GST officials towards the extension of the time duration to September 30, 2022, for the online submission.
In the former times, the traders are seeing several technical issues inside the GST common portal and since all the GST provisions execution is essentially conducted via a common portal, the traders must be furnished with much more time.
