In a report and a tweet from the GSTN account had clearly stated that the Maharashtra tops in generating E Way Bills for the transportation of goods through motorized vehicles of value more than 50,000.
In terms of figures, Maharashtra generated a total of 609169 e-way bills for the transportation of goods while on the second position comes Uttar Pradesh with a total of 355757 e way bills generated. While on the third position comes Karnataka with 304212 GST E Way Bills generated.
There are states namely, Haryana, Gujarat Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan etc who are in line with the figures and position with the top three states generating most of the e way bills.

GST e way bill is a mandatory bill system to be generated electronically from the government GST e way bill portal when transporting goods valuing more than 50000 through a motorized vehicle.
The GST e way bill is a complex form which is to be filled everytime the goods are transported and for this, a transporter or supplier must need a proper GST e way bill software to generate accurate bills.
