The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has begun a certificate programme for their candidates on anti-money laundering laws. This certificate course will help the students to diagnosticate the crisis of black money.
The Indian Government is also working on several ways to brake the menace of slimy fund flow. In addition, last year, a bill had been passed by the Parliament that deals with black money, which is hidden in abroad. This certificate course of ICAI that is being offered to candidate, has 40 hours time duration. The course will be over in six days.
Mr. Manoj Fadnis, ICAI President said, “The course would be useful for members since anti-money laundering laws are becoming important and they need to be trained in this area from the beginning itself.”
He further added, “Members have to be careful while issuing audit reports and before doing professional work for any client, they should know who the client is, what is the background of the client so that you will know what kind of service you are rendering to whom.”
The ICAI also plans to offer the certificate course in the major cities of the country.
