Although there are 2.43 crore people who are registered under the Ayushman Bharat scheme for the insurance, also termed as the world’s largest healthcare scheme. But for the other private sector people there may be a question of the heavy premium and here the interest rate of 18 per cent comes to effect.
As per the clarification demanded, the letter stated that Health is every person’s basic right. With its Ayushman Bharat Yojana, the government has covered the vulnerable groups, which I understand is required. But what about the huge population that is middle class? Why are they forced to pay a whopping 18 per cent GST on healthcare insurance?”
