Reportedly, GSTR 10 (final return) has to be filed by a taxable person whose GST registration is annulled or surrendered. GSTR 10 must be filed and submitted within three months of registration cancellation date or order cancellation date, whichever comes late. The GST Council will send notices to those who miss out on the GSTR-10 filing. The return then must be filed within 15 days of receipt of the notice.

In case, taxpayers still fail to do the needful, the tax office will in his complete authority issue a final notice carrying the business cancellation order along with the amount and interest/penalty payable.
