Unlimited Tax Return Filing

GSTN Portal Server Down on Every GST Due Date

GSTN Portal Server Down

The Tax Practitioners and Businessmen have discussed the issue over the slow down of the GSTN portal with the state tax commissioner while filing the GST return on the portal. They stated that the same issue arrived on every 10th and 20th of every month. It has been difficult for the taxpayers to file ITR returns on the portal.

If the government does not take any permanent solution for GSTN portal issues, there might be a countrywide protest. Responding to this, the state commissioner has advised that if the taxpayer filed the tax returns before the deadline then the burden would not appear on the portal, though the representatives have rejected it by providing various arguments.

It has been almost 15 months since GST implemented across India, the taxpayers have been facing issues regarding the missing data from the portal and slowing down of the portal. The assessee and businesses went to the commissioner tax office to get to know the answer to their queries. Now the taxpayers have started fearing with 10th and 20th of every month as they are the deadline of the filing tax returns.

Every month, the server of GSTN portal starts getting effected before two or three days from GST due date. The state tax commissioners have informed regarding this by providing letter and memos repeatedly.

Businesses Kept These Demands in Front of Commissioner:

  • Businesses stated that 5 days are not sufficient for input tax credit as well as for other errors of the March 2018 time period. They are demanding that the GST audit date and the annual return timeline must be extended till 31st December
  • GST Annual Return form has been issued by the government but is not available on the GSTN portal. So it is demanded to check for any potential error
