Prior to the protest demonstration of Apple growers in Shimla dated August 5, the government of Himachal Pradesh would have chosen a 6% subsidy on GST services that shall be given via the department of horticulture and HPMC to all the orchardists in the state who bought boxes and trays of Apple post to April 1 this year. Chief secretary R D Dhiman conducted a meeting of the committee specifying to reveal the exploitation of Orchardists on numerous levels in Shimla on Saturday. The same would be decided in the meeting that a 6% subsidy on GST shall be made available via the horticulture department and HPMC to all the orchardists in the state who bought the boxes and trays of Apple post-April 1.

Dhiman mentioned that to claim the same advantage, the orchardists would need to visit the nearest office of the horticulture department. The same would need to produce a copy of the GST bill, sales case (sale proof)/transportation goods receipt/market fee copy including their application on the mentioned format. The same subsidy shall be available on the cartoons and trays sold via HPMC. All these expenditures incurred on the GST will be managed by the state government.
He added that the guidelines were being issued to HPMC to make the important arrangements for the allotment of at least 1 cr packaging material. The same would be decided that Rs 8.65 cr which the state government furnished to the council, shall be used for clearing the due liabilities of MIS. the same would be told that the funds will be available by the government for the liabilities of this year.
