The government is pressurizing to all the Members of Parliament and State legislatures to start spreading knowledge & awareness of Goods and Service Tax (GST) Regime across the country. Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has requested to all political parties to clearly understand the concept of new indirect taxation regime and also provide help or support to people, industries, businessmen whenever it is required. In a letter, Jaitley presents his views in the front of several political parties and said that he want their cooperation for the implementation of new GST Regime in India, which is going to implement from 1st July.
“It is important for them to understand the finer points of the new tax regime in order to explain the same to the people. If trade and industry face any difficulty during the implementation phase, the representatives of the people should be better equipped to handle the same if properly trained in this regard,” Jaitley was quoted as saying in a finance ministry release.
GST is one of the biggest tax reforms since Independence and is going to roll-out from 1st July. After the implementation of GST Regime will encourage new business ventures, improve economic conditions of the country and enhance the overall GDP rates of the country. “GST will also help in removing the cascading effect of taxation and give relief to the common man by leading to the reduction in prices, especially of essential consumer goods,” Jaitley said.
He added that with the support of all the political parties, the Constitutional Amendment Act of GST was already approved by the parliament. Apart from this, CGST, IGST, UTGST has been approved by the parliament and SGST have been approved in 25 states along with their respective governments. Since from September 2016 GST Council Meeting headed by Jaitley and state/ union representative.

For spreading awareness of GST Regime across the country conduct, organize or manage workshops training sessions across the country; in which the Union Government can render experts or officials resource team.
