Chhattisgarh GST Collection for March 2025

In the collection of the GST revenue in India, Chhattisgarh has emerged as the fastest-growing state that achieving an unprecedented 18% growth rate in the fiscal year 2024-25, as per the state officials.

A total GST revenue collection of Rs 16,390 crore has been recorded in Chhattisgarh, which exceeds all the other states in annual growth. A 16% and 15% rise has been registered by the states of Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, respectively.

Chhattisgarh’s GST collection in March has surpassed Rs 2000 crore for the first time. The state has collected ₹1,301.09 crore under the SGST category, marking a remarkable 72% increase compared to March 2024.

Also, Rs 756.73 crore was obtained under the Integrated GST (IGST) category, contemplating a 10% annual increase. The GST revenue of the state for March 2025 arrived at Rs 2,057.82 crore, showcasing an amazing 43% monthly growth compared to Rs 1,443.66 crore in March 2024.

The GST revenue rise is attributed to a series of reforms and technological advancements spearheaded by the commercial tax department under the directions of CM Vishnu Deo Sai and Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary.

The government has executed the complete strategies to improve tax compliance and transparency, ensuring that businesses comply with the tax laws effectively.

The government, to keep the same growth trajectory, is preparing to integrate AI-based surveillance, digital tracking, and advanced compliance procedures. Such initiatives have the motive to additionally facilitate the tax collection and prevent the bogus activites.

Chhattisgarh chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai mentioned that, “This historic achievement is not just about revenue but reflects our commitment to transparent and participatory governance.
