Centre Claims, 30 Parties Favor To Pass GST Bill

There are a lot of rumors regarding India’s biggest reform system GST. The Winter Session has been started from yesterday. The meeting of all-party held in the parliament on 26th November, 2015 to discuss on the GST panel. The Central government has claimed that 30 of 32 parties are favoring the new vital economic regime. Therefore, government is more confident about the passing of the Bill in this session of Parliament.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Mr. M Venkaiah Naidu said, “We are making efforts for its passage. The public mood is almost one-sided in favour of the GST.”

Venkaiah Naidu further told that 32 political parties met at the all-party meeting and discussed on the GST Bill. It was seen at the meeting that 30 parties were supportive of the legislation. It is indicating that the Bill can be passed early. Moreover, according to the sources, the BJP was concerned by taking the Congress’s demands on GST. The Congress is main opposition party against the GST and they had already stucked the Bill in the last session of parliament. On other side, FM Jaitley has been spied when he was talking with some senior leader of Congress regarding contentious issues in GST panel.

The BJP is waiting for the decision of main opposition party, Congress on the Bill from a long time. The GST might be taken-up in the upper house in the Parliament next week. The lower house of Parliament, Lok Sabha has already accepted the bill.
