GST Revenues from domestic transactions (including import of services) are 14% higher Year-on-Year
Rs 1,59,069 crore is the collected gross GST revenue for the month of August 2023 out of which CGST is Rs 28,328 crore, SGST is Rs 35,794 crore, IGST is Rs 83,251 crore (containing Rs 43,550 crore collected on goods import) and Cess is Rs 11,695 crore (containing Rs 1,016 crore collected on goods import).
Rs 37,581 cr to CGST and Rs 31,408 crore to SGST from IGST have been settled by the government. Rs 65,909 crore for CGST and Rs 67,202 crore for the SGST is the total revenue of the Centre and the States in the month of August 2023 after regular settlement.

There is an 11% rise in the revenues for the month of August 2023 compared to the GST revenues in the same month last year. The revenues in the month via goods import were 3% more and the revenues incurred via domestic transactions (including import of services) are 14% exceeding the revenues made via such sources in the identical month last year.

The state-wise GST collected numbers in each state during the month of August 2023 as compared to August 2022 is represented in table-1 and the SGST and SGST portion of the Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) received/settled to the States/UTs in August 2023 is illustrated in Table 2.
