In a procedural facilitation for taxpayers, appellants, respondents, and legal professionals, the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT) has emphasised a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the regeneration and retrieval of Security Codes via the GSTAT Portal. The process furnishes a structured online procedure for users to access their security codes linked to pertinent cases.
According to the SOP titled “Security Code Regeneration Process,” users must log in to the GSTAT portal and navigate to the “Appellant/Respondent Corner,” where the option to “Resend Security Code” is available. Users can select this option and determine and select the relevant case from the prompt list by tapping the correct selection button in the rightmost column.
After choosing the relevant case, the user should tap on the “Resend Security Code” button provided against the relevant entry. The GSTAT portal will show the security code on the screen and send it to the user’s email ID, allowing the user to recover the code via the stipulated online procedure.
The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) furnishes procedural guidance to appellants and respondents for regenerating and receiving security codes on the GSTAT portal. By emphasising a specified step-by-step process, the facility is anticipated to ease seamless access to case-related information and reduce the issues encountered by users in recovering their security codes.
Taxpayers, authorised representatives, advocates, and other stakeholders dealing with GSTAT proceedings must know this process to ensure effective use of the portal and prevent unnecessary disruption in accessing security codes related to their cases.
Also, the SOP furnishes illustrative screenshots specifying case selection, activation of the “Resend Security Code” option, and display of the regenerated Security Code, supporting users in finishing the process appropriately.
