NADT-RC, Mumbai Launches First Training Programme on Grievance Redressal

NADT-RC Mumbai Inauguration with First Special Course on Grievance Redressal

At present, the National Academy of Direct Taxes, Regional Campus (NADT-RC), Mumbai has operationalised the Ministerial Staff Training Unit (MSTU), Thane with the inauguration of its first training programme, “Special Course on Grievance Redressal.” The unit has come into function after sustained measures of more than a year, marking a milestone in making the training infrastructure stronger for the Income Tax Department in the jurisdiction of the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Pune.

Dr Sarita Mishra Kolhe, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Thane, attended the session as the Chief Guest. In her address, Dr Kolhe motivated participants to make full utilisation of the learning opportunities proposed via departmental training programmes and outlined that continuous capacity building is crucial for professional excellence, quality taxpayer service and development of the country.

Shri Navneet Manohar, Principal Additional Director General, NADT-RC, Mumbai, has addressed the gathering. The operationalisation of MSTU, Thane was explained as a historic milestone. He outlined the measures of NADT-RC, Mumbai in making the Unit functional and expressed gratitude to the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Pune and the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Thane for their assistance in furnishing the required infrastructure and manpower.

According to Manohar, the departmental training ecosystem in the Pune region will get stronger from the operationalisation of MSTU by allowing officials posted in Thane and nearby stations to undergo regular training locally. The same shall enhance accessibility, expand opportunities for continuous professional development, and improve the institutional capacity of the Department.

The inaugural programme, “Special Course on Grievance Redressal,” shows the commitment of the department to responsive, transparent and citizen-centric tax administration by making the capabilities of officials stronger in appropriate grievance management and public service delivery.

Smt. Nimisha Singh, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax-1, Thane, Shri Jagdish P. Jangid, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax (Verification Unit)-1, Thane, senior officers and participants from the Income Tax Department were present in the programme.
