The CGST Delhi South Commissionerate has conducted GST Pakhwada 2026 as part of the GST Day 2026 observance. It focuses on taxpayer facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and voluntary compliance under the theme “Sugam Kar Vyavastha, Sashakt Rashtra” (Simple Tax System, Strong Nation). Its purpose is to strengthen participative governance and build trust between taxpayers and the tax administration.
In this two-week-long programme, various CGST divisions, including Okhla, Connaught Place, and Vasant Kunj, organised taxpayer outreach programmes to raise awareness of GST compliance, address taxpayer issues, and promote voluntary tax compliance.
The Commissionerate has conducted ‘Samvad’, an open dialogue and grievance redressal session chaired by the Commissioner, CGST Delhi South.
Senior GST officers, representatives from the embassies of Iraq and Singapore, trade associations, and stakeholders from the hotel, aviation, transport, and construction sectors attended the event. In the interaction, taxpayers shared suggestions and concerns, which the department addressed.
The Commissionerate honoured 20 officers with Certificates of Commendation for their impeccable performance, professionalism, and contribution to transparent and citizen-centric tax administration, recognising outstanding public service.

The department repeated its commitment to conducting regular stakeholder interactions to boost collaboration, enhance taxpayer services, and confidence in the GST ecosystem.
