Uttar Pradesh Entitled to Get Maximum Benefits After GST

The upcoming goods and service tax will prove beneficial for many states and also for the Uttar Pradesh as the latest statement being recorded from the Governor Ram Naik. The official mentioned this on the convention of the Commerce Tax Service Association and also added that this will become a lasting success for both the state government as well as central government.

The minister detailed the statement and said that the revenue source is the biggest source of growth and upliftment of the state and a major source of contribution to the commerce tax department. The state could hardly earn a total amount of 4 crores at the time of independence while now the situation has turned upside down. The state earned more than 51 thousand crores as a revenue to the commercial tax department.

Chief Secretary of the Department of Commerce, Mukesh Si Meshram was present at the convention along with officials and high profile minister from all over the state. The government also noticed that while the GST was in talks, there was a special discussion held with the PM to give some extra benefit and liberty to the Uttar Pradesh for making the state level competitive to the other states. The PM was convinced with this and has given instruction to give special attention to the state on the occasion of revenue and commercial leads.

GST will land close to the July 1 and has passed almost all the bills to get ready for the roll out. Various states are very attentive in implementing the new taxation regime and fully directed the ministry to make every move towards the better implementation.
