ICSI: Revised Due Date of UDIN & ECSIN Amnesty Scheme Due to COVID-19

Extended Due Date of UDIN & ECSIN Amnesty Scheme

In yet another attempt to provide relief to the Company Secretary Students who are facing the evils of second Covid-19. The Institute of Company Secretary of India (ICSI) has stretched the last date of the ECSIN Amnesty Scheme, 2021 along with the UDIN Amnesty Scheme, 2021 till June 30, 2021.

For the above-mentioned extension, an initiative was taken by those ICSI members who were not able to access the benefits available as per the ECSIN Amnesty Scheme 2021 by the last date i.e. June 15, 2021, due to the factors directly or indirectly related to Covid-19.

For the purpose of imparting greater transparency in knowing whether the particular Company Secretary is involved in a particular organisation or not, the Institute has recently issued the Employee Company Secretaries Identification Number Guidelines, 2019 being effective from October 1, 2019

Initially, due to the havoc of the second Covid-19 being faced by the general public including the ICSI members, the ICSI had launched ECSIN Amnesty Scheme, 2021 for its member that was effective from April 20, 2021, to May 15, 2021. However, due to the enduring nature of Covid-19, the last dates of both Amnesty Schemes were extended many times and now have been finally extended till June 30, 2021

All active ECSIN, generated from October 1, 2019, onwards and still in progression as the last date is June 30, 2021, shall be eligible to access the ICSI ECSIN Amnesty Scheme. “Other conditions of the aforesaid Amnesty Scheme shall remain the same”.
