New Mandatory Rule Introduced To Generate GST E Way Bill

New Mandatory Rule GST E-Way BillE way bill now demands another compliance mandatorily to be followed as the GST network has made it compulsory to include the PIN code of the place where the consignment is to be loaded or unloaded.

The reason of including the PIN codes on the E-Way Bill will help the portal to calculate the actual distance further helping to validate the E Way Bill.

Currently, the business only required to mention the distance and place of loading and unloading which was not helpful for the reason but now the PIN codes are supposed to help in this cause.

Right now the GST E Way Bill is generated when 100kms is travelled in a single day but the issues were that some of the business may use the same GST e-way bill and make multiple trips.

And now the GSTIN offers the facility of auto-population when the PIN is entered at the place of consignor or consignee address, according to the official statement released.

The GSTN also issued a statement saying, “The new features are part of GSTN’s continuous efforts to improve user experience and make the e-way bill generating process easy and convenient for users. These new features have been developed and introduced in response to feedback from both users as well as tax authorities to make generating of e-way bill easier.”
