The Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT) has published an updated version of the User Manual for the GSTAT e-Filing Portal. This new version, version 2.6, is now available for users.
The GSTAT’s updated user manual provides detailed step-by-step guidance on every function of the portal, including registration, appeal and application filing, re-filing processes, document uploads, and more.
GSTAT e-Filing Portal Features
- Easy Online Registration Process: Based on the profile of the users, they can register as a taxpayer (using GSTIN), a tax official, or an authorised representative. OTP-based verification, document uploads, and secure login credentials shared via email and SMS are part of registration.
- Facilitated Appeal Filing: A structured walkthrough for filing appeals is offered by the manual, which comprises-
- Order details with/without ARN/CRN numbers.
- Auto-fetched appellant details from GSTIN.
- Multiple respondents and representative addition.
- Payment of pre-deposit via Bharatkosh.
- Upload of appeal documents and affidavits.
- Final preview and acknowledgement generation with filing number.
- Filing and Re-Filing of Applications: Users for procedural accuracy are guided through:
- Application form filling under the selected appeal.
- Re-filing in case of defects, with the ability to view, edit, and submit corrected documents.
- Step-by-step document upload and checklist verification.
- Additional Document Submission: An improved upload feature permits users to file additional documents after filing. Through a receipt for transparency, each document is previewed and acknowledged.
- How to File and Re-File Cross Objections: Streamlining the file or re-filing cross objections could be performed by respondents. The workflow contains uploading replies, representative details, document verification, and final preview submission.
- User Dashboard – My Account: A devoted user dashboard supports tracking:
- Filed appeals, applications, and cross objections.
