3 Mail IDs for Grievances Registration Under Faceless Scheme

The income tax department has recently shared 3 official email IDs for the betterment of grievances redressal under the Faceless Assessment Scheme notified by the government in the earlier phases.

This email ID will be the connecting point for all the taxpayers who have any grievance related issues in the tax assessment or the penalty levy or for any appeal a person wants to make to the department. The tax department will be necessarily hearing all the appeals for every instance.

The Twitter handle of the tax department stated that “In a move aimed to further improve taxpayer services in alignment with the Taxpayers’ Charter, the Income Tax Department creates dedicated e-mail ids for registering grievances in respect of pending cases under the Faceless Scheme.”

Also, it has mentioned all the email id for reference on the Twitter handle, For faceless assessments:

samadhan.faceless.assessment@incometax.gov.in; For faceless penalty: samadhan.faceless.penalty@incometax.gov.in; For faceless appeals: samadhan.faceless.appeal@incometax.gov.in.”

All the grievances with the relevance to the faceless assessment including penalties, appeals would be given to the 3 email IDs provided by the Income-tax department.

All these services are for the benefit of taxpayers themselves as they would get their work done online and they are not required to visit the tax department also.

On 04/08/2022 an email was sent to samadhan.faceless.appeal@incometax.gov.in giving details of how the NFAC was sitting over for delaying a decision on appeals filed for over 2 years now and there’s no response from them either. Nor is there a fresh notice issued and neither is an order being passed by the NFAC, Delhi. Either you allow or you dismiss, but end the suspense.

  2. I got this SMS for my IT Returns (for PAN No. XXXXXXXXXXX) on 12th Nov21: “ITR for AY 2020-21 and PAN: aahxxxxx5l has been processed at CPC. Intimation u/s 143(1) has been sent to your registered email ID. If not received check-in SPAM folder”. However, this mail has not been found in any of my inbox, including the SPAM folder. Can it be sent properly? I am a Snr citizen and worried a lot.

  3. I have preferred an appeal under documents reference ID no ########### on the notice under section 250 submitted dt 16/02/2021.and acknowledgement no #############. My pan No is ######## Jam senior citizen and income tax officer baramulla has deducted Rs 34 lakes from my bank account without any genuine reason, I am regularly paying income tax and file returns, No action seems to have taken so far on my e appeal filed under document ID no ITBA/NFAC/F/pal-1/2020-21/10302M1894(1) dt 16/02/21

  4. My pan no is ########## I Have preferred an appeal under section 250 income tax act and submitted the document I’d no ITBA/NFAC/F/APL. 1/20220-21/10302m/1894(1) but so far no action seems to have been initiated
