NAA Likely to Merge with CCI to Sort out Pending GST Cases

NAA to Merge with CCI Soon

The National Anti-profiteering Authority (NAA) seems to integrate with the competition commission of India (CCI) as the tenure of the GST authority is expired going near to 400 cases of dues prior to it dealt with the customer complaints about not obtaining the tax cut advantages. The same shall arise by year-end and all the due cases with NAA (National Anti-Profiteering Authority) would be taken by the competition authority.

The GST official at its 35th meet is conducted on June 21st, beneath new FM Nirmala Sitharaman, would arrange to provide an extension of 1 year till Nov 30, 2020, as the council is received with the protests of profiteering by companies.

NAA came into existence on the date 30th Nov 2017, post its Chairman BN Sharma takes charge. NAA passed 67 orders in several cases. The National Anti-Profiteering Authority (NAA) mentioned beneath section 171 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 to confirm that the reduction in the rate of the tax or the advantage of the ITC is passed on to the recipient through the method of commensurate reduction in costs.

Union government mainly heads the same to reveal if the ITC claimed by any enrolled individual or the reduction in the tax is passed to the consumer and he or she gets saved from the random price rise for the self-interests towards GST.
