Mumbai CGST Introduces Grievance Mechanism to Resolve GST Registration Issues

GST Registration Grievance Helpdesk by CGST Mumbai Zone

A devoted Grievance Redressal Mechanism has been launched by the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) and Central Excise, Mumbai Zone to support the taxpayers in encountering problems during Goods and Services Tax (GST) registration.

Under the Central jurisdiction, the applicants who are facing delays or issues can provide their grievances through email at reg-cgstmz@gov.in.

The same initiative has the motive to ease the process of registration, reduce delays, and enhance the simplicity of performing business. The Principal Additional Director General, Directorate of Taxpayer Services, Mumbai Zonal Unit, Sumit Kumar, has issued the same in an official press release.

What is the Method to Raise a GST Registration Complaint?

At the time of applying for the GST registration, if you are facing any problem, then you should send an email along with the following things-

The concerned department shall address the complaints, and the applicants shall be kept notified.

Background & Notification Details

The same initiative is part of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC’s) action to enhance and ease the GST registration, under Instruction No. 03/2025 dated 17.04.2025. Through Trade Notice No. 02/PCCO/Mumbai/2025/CGST dated 15.05.2025, it was formally announced.
