Get ready to face the truth of doctors and chartered accountants whom general public trust blindfolded. These two professionals are responsible for their trust and accuracy but this time income tax department has proved them wrong.
In the latest reports given by the income tax department, it was stated that in the counting of 8.6 lakh doctors across India, only less than half of them filed income tax returns.
Also, the issues are same with the chartered accountants as only 1 out 3 CAs file income tax returns, giving very doubtful questions on the credibility and trustability of such CAs in India.
According to the reports, there are only 13 thousand nursing homes currently paying taxes in India which were released by the income tax department, showing a huge difference between the salaried and non-salaried.
According to the IT statistics, there has been a surge in IT return filing from the past 4 years of cumulative growth. It is speculated that the number of salaried taxpayers is rising in front of non-salaried taxpayers.
In overall personal taxpayer, the ratio has been up by 26 percent from previous years. The CBDT chairman assured of strict provisions for all the tax evaders while securing the taxpayers from unnecessary harassment.
If by not paying tax the doctors are able to reduce their fees, we should be fine with it
The doctors in India should pay IT voluntarily and honestly as they honest in their profession. Those who are above 65 yrs may be excited from paying IT.
