New JSON Schema for e-filing of ITR 1 and 4 for FY 2022-23

ITR 1 and ITR 4 JSON Schema for F.Y. 2022-23

The JSON Schema for ITR-1 and ITR-4 for the fiscal year 2022-23 or Assessment Year 2023-2024 would have been released by the income tax department.

ITR-1 would subject to be applied for individuals being a resident (apart from those not ordinarily resident) securing a total income up to Rs.50 lakh, carrying Income from Salaries, one house property, additional sources (Interest, etc.), and agricultural income up to Rs. 5000.

For the Individuals, HUFs, and Firms (other than LLP), ITR-4 would be applied for the individuals who have a total income of upto Rs 50 lakh and secure the income via business and profession that gets calculated under sections 44AD, 44ADA, or 44AE and agricultural income upto Rs. 5000.

Basic Instructions Needed When Filing an ITR

  • Choose the assessment year from here: Downloads | Income Tax Department
  • Download and after that extract the zip file that has the utilities to the folder and open the utility.

System Requirements to e-file ITR 1 & ITR 4 with JSON Schema

  • Architecture: ia32, x36
  • Utility/Operating System: Windows OS
  • Hardware: Intel Pentium processor or later that’s SSE2 capable or AMD K10 or above core architecture with 2 GB of RAM or more.
  • Windows 7 or later are supported (ia64, x64 systems binaries will run on ia32)
  • Please note, the ARM version of Windows is not supported.
  • Note: libstdc++ 6 ABI 1.3.8 or above in lower environments to function In Linux the app should be run in a sandbox mode only.
  • HDD: 700 MB or more of free space

After receiving permission from ITD, the instructions, utilities, schemas, and validation rules will be modified as needed.
