IRS Officers Directs GST Assessment to be Under the Centre

The old issue of assesses control has been replied by The Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Central Excise) officers’ association who has demanded the council to give the authority of assessing all the taxpayers under the turnover of lesser than 1.5 crores to the center.

The intentions of this request are said to be the savior of further tax evasions and rise in black money. West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Delhi, and Odisha are the states which are neutral in dual control decision while rest are in demanding of controlling service tax payers having a lesser turnover than `1.5 crores.

A total of 2000 IRS officers is explaining that the conflict with the proposal of state governments controlling assesses with a revenue turnover of lesser than 1.5 crores is the major issue and must be delicately handled.
