The highest tax collected is from Gujrat in the year 2018-19 as from the proportion of PAN holders. There are a total of 22.3% tax returns from Gujarat itself, with 20.5% filing rates followed by Delhi, then Punjab with 16.74% and Telangana with 16.68%. There are fewer cases picked up in Bihar for scrutiny with only 0.08% returns. It is a big drop from 0.42% in AY18. Jharkhand files 0.09% cases for scrutiny in AY19 dips with 0.3% in AY18. whereas the 0.52% cases will be filed but lesser than from the AY18 which was at 0.81%. Telangana stands at 0.5% Cases for scrutiny which is half to 0.25% in AY19 but in AY18 it stood at 0.55%. In AY16 it was 0.71 % and AY17 it was 0.4%.

The assessment for the year is called the filing of the previous year where people file their returns. The financial year evaluates the income earned in AY. Jharkhand seeks 23% rises in AY18 from 3.5% in FY17. Karnataka filers rose with 19.5% in AY18 from 1.9% growth. With a 16.7% AY18 rise in Haryana with respect to 3.5% in AY18. Though Orissa cases have decreased to 0.12% from 0.37%. Punjab has dropped at 0.14% against 0.40%. West Bengal sees 0.25% cases which are less than compared to 0.59% from the previous year.
