The commercial Tax department has been enraged by the upcoming GST regime and its shortfalls over the Union government and demands the government attention on the issues related to GST. The protest like scenario was created in Vizianagaram and Srikakulam on Monday.

Meanwhile, the govt. is taking several initiatives to educate the states regarding the GST and have directed the states to conduct GST training sessions for the employees. The preparedness of GST roll out is at its peak for the implementation by April 2017.

The basic agenda for this happening was to seek attention on the responsibilities and obligation of the union government to favor All India Confederation of Commercial Taxes Associations (AICCTA) in the hard times and listen to their grievances.

The agitation was caused in the wake of officials who were discontented with the union government which the association blames to suppress the voice and restricting to act in a good faith. Commercial Taxes Employees Association, President, Chowdary Purushottam Naidu stated firmly that, “the staff would organize a protest in New Delhi on October 7 to draw the attention of the Union government to their grievances.”

The association fears that the GST regime will fall into the favor of union government totally and it would eventually harm the betterment and credential of the employees of commercial tax departments of the States. The meeting was held in Srikakulam where the department gathering discussed the worrisome matters of the union government.
